Job Summary

Within the sales department, the incumbent must proactively seek opportunities and manage inquiries. He or she is responsible for the hotel’s financial success and profitability level.

As an ambassador, this role requires great organizational skills and a dedication to interpersonal communication in the context of relationships with clients, colleagues, business strategies, and financial accountability.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Area Director:

  • Proactively seek new business opportunities to support sales goals and promote the hotel’s brand
  • Achieve and grow group sales targets in line with budgeted revenue and profit goals
  • Being primarily responsible for the following market segments: associations, corporate, and SMERFE
  • Negotiate agreements to maximize revenue and profits
  • Provide exceptional customer service by building strong relationships and developing client accounts
  • Proactively solicit new accounts
  • Promote the hotel in a creative manner
  • Generate more referral opportunities with other Atlific and Marriott properties/hotels
  • Participate in team brainstorming sessions, hotel staff meetings, and client events required for specific business situations
  • Accompany clients during visits of the facilities
  • Promote the destination and hotels through occasional client visits and sales trips to meet with clients
  • Work with the Sales Director and the banquets team to optimize sales processes
  • Work with the Tremblant Resort Association (TRA) and all destination partners when offering multi-hotel deals

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in French and English (knowledge of another language will be considered an asset)
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a similar role or any experience related to sales
  • A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge and good understanding of the main hotel market, surrounding areas, and resources
  • Promote the hotel and any Westin brand program
  • Sales strategies and pricing techniques
  • Recognized leadership and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to manage priorities and work under pressure
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Autonomy, dynamism, and quick execution
  • Very good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of CI/TY will be considered an asset
