Job Summary:
Reporting to the Corporate Director - Revenue Strategy, the Area Revenue Manager is responsible for revenue generation support across a number of branded and independent hotels within the Atlific portfolio. Work closely with hotel operations to provide accurate reporting, forecasting and pricing management along with promoting a strategic alignment with our National Sales and Marketing teams.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Optimize RevPAR performance for the hotel by establishing effective transient, wholesale and group strategies based on thorough analysis of the market and competitive set.
- Integrate strategic vision with tactical initiatives
- Measure performance and provide timely feedback to the revenue team
- Practice pricing integrity at all times
- Responsible for accurate forecasts within set guidelines
- Active participation and preparation of top line budgets
- Strategically interpret and analyse performance data and market trends by reviewing various reports like Agency360, STR, Demand360 and optimal mix.
- Produce and distribute timely results in the form of reports, presentations etc. for each hotel
- Manage the tactical execution of revenue management strategies & goals
- Provide critical input to the sales and marketing strategy
- Assist in online reputation management and social media strategy
- Maximize the yield management functionality in all systems
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years Hotel Revenue Management Experience
- Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills
- Ability to deliver presentations in a concise, well-organized manner
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills; French speaking an asset
- Appropriate professional appearance and positive attitude
- Brand RM Certification with Marriot and/or IHG required.
- Experience working with Independent hotels a plus
- In-Depth understanding of Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel, Word etc.
- Proven ability to develop budgets and forecasts, with a high level of accuracy
- Proficient at statistical and competitive analysis.
